Once all was ready, Saure slipped the strap of her gunna sack over her head, straitened her tight brown greaves, tightened her new, fitting boots, and flipped her dark red cloak hood over her head. She took the reins and set them on a hook next to her legs on the riding bench.

"Alright, then! Nag, what shall we call this new stallion?"
"Oh! Oh, the name's Juniper, mum." the brown horse piped up happily.
"Juniper, then! I have these reins here just for show, but I think you two can manage with spoken commands."
"Aye!"
"Oh, aye. I'm used to bein' ordered about by yer highness." Nag muttered.
"We must away, sweetling. The city waits." Fred spoke from the back of the cart.

Saure took one last look at the farmhouse, then at the sleeping little kirn. She decided that she would miss this place, but not immediately. Too much lay in store, and she had tarried long enough.

"Right, then! Onward!"
And thus, they began their journey.
