Many whose element is poison become great healers. Never assume, nor take at face value. You must always find the true heart.

"Water, air, earth and flora mesh well with one another. Thousands of spells can be born from the combination of these elements. Used alone, one can bend water to his will, weave the very wind, cause the ground to shake or spit up rare minerals, and make all manner of plants obey your command. These are but a select few examples.

"Fauna does not only come to people, but also to the beasts who make up the element. They are, in a way, elementals themselves. Wolf leaders are strong in this element, as are many other pack and flock animals. To have the gift of fauna can mean that you command and summon beasts at whim, and it can mean that you speak their languages and understand their morals.

"Stone and metal are tricky elements. They encompass minerals and metals of all varieties. One with a stone or metal element can find specific gems or veins in mines. They are masters at refining. They also allow their master to acquire the properties of any stone or metal they please. But, too often, masters of these elements get greedy, or a spell misfires, trapping them in their element forever. Many have mistaken the results of these accidents for statues.

"Ice is the element that is the absence of heat. It is the antithesis to fire. To be able to freeze the unseen moisture in the air is a common trait of an iceblood. Too many of these poor souls turn dark to mention. One's element often affects their psyche, and no living thing can stay cold for very long. The ice is indifferent.

"Lightning is a monumental force usually wielded by nature's elementals alone. It is very rare to find one living with it in his blood. It is of vital importance that they learn to control these powers early, for most have simply blown themselves up by accident.

"Lastly, ether is an illusive element that cannot be seen by the naked human eye. Ether is the Gaia, and it is emotion, and it is understanding. Etherbloods are extremely rare, and they are those who can contact the gray ones. They can speak with the dead, and mesmerize any unwise enough to cross them. Very hideous and beautiful acts have been done by etherbloods. Ether spells are near impossible for any without this element within them, but not unheard of. Be warned, dire circumstances come to those who misuse the ether. One's very soul could be easily lost in oblivion."

Saure sat in silent awe at this newly acquired knowledge, stroking the page absently.
"I think that's enough for now, Saure. Universities teach this much in the first year..."
"Yes, my head feels full..." she shook her head, rubbing at a temple.

They both looked out the window and saw that dusk had crept up on them. They went down and supped, and spoke of the things which had happened while she was off in her silent world. They made jokes and laughed, putting aside the sorrow of her situation. They sat long by the fire, Saure cuddled against his chest, resting her head on his forepaw. They fell asleep that way, and dreamed of magic and all its wondrous uses.
